Yungblud’s spellbinding cover of Black Sabbath’s “Changes,” first performed at the monumental **Back to the Beginning** concert earlier this month, is officially getting a release—and fans couldn’t be more thrilled.
The performance, hailed as one of the emotional high points of the July 5th event at **Villa Park**, saw Yungblud—real name **Dominic Harrison**—fronting **Supergroup A** in an unforgettable rendition of the 1972 Black Sabbath ballad. Flanked by an all-star band featuring **guitar virtuoso Nuno Bettencourt**, **Anthrax bassist Frank Bello**, **Sleep Token’s drummer II**, and **keyboardist Adam Wakeman** (son of Rick Wakeman and longtime Ozzy/Sabbath collaborator), Yungblud transformed the stage into a cathedral of sound and sorrow.
Dedicated to **the late Liverpool footballer Diogo Jota**, the cover struck a deep emotional chord with the 40,000-strong crowd, many of whom were visibly moved. Dressed in a simple red armband bearing Jota’s name, Yungblud poured his heart into every lyric, delivering the melancholic track with a rawness that felt both urgent and timeless.
Now, fans around the world will get a chance to relive that moment—or experience it for the first time—as Yungblud has announced the **official release of “Changes” this Friday, July 18th**, across all major streaming platforms.
Just like the benefit concert itself, proceeds from the single will go directly to **Cure Parkinson’s**, **Birmingham Children’s Hospital**, and **Acorn’s Children’s Hospice**—causes close to the hearts of the event’s organizers and performers.
In a statement shared online, Yungblud said, “This one’s for Jota, for the kids, and for everyone who’s ever felt the weight of change. Let’s turn music into something that helps.”
The countdown to Friday
begins now.
