Def Leppard to Receive Hollywood Walk of Fame Star
Rock and roll legends Def Leppard are set to etch their names into history once more as they receive the 2,825th star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. The ceremony, scheduled for Thursday, October 9, at 11:30 a.m. PT, will take place in front of the iconic Capitol Records building in Los Angeles. It marks a milestone for the band that has defined stadium rock for more than four decades.
The honor, announced by the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce, will celebrate Def Leppard’s enduring impact on music, culture, and generations of fans worldwide. Guest speakers for the event include Jon Bon Jovi and Bruce Resnikoff, CEO of UMe, with SiriusXM host Bob Buchmann leading the ceremony. Fans across the globe will be able to witness the moment live through a webcast on WalkOfFame.com.
Since their breakthrough in the early 1980s, Def Leppard has sold over 110 million albums worldwide, powered by classics like *Pyromania* and *Hysteria*. Their mix of anthemic hooks, driving riffs, and larger-than-life performances propelled them into the pantheon of rock’s biggest acts. Timeless hits such as *Pour Some Sugar on Me*, *Photograph*, and *Love Bites* remain staples of both radio and live shows.
For frontman Joe Elliott, guitarist Phil Collen, bassist Rick Savage, drummer Rick Allen, and guitarist Vivian Campbell, the Walk of Fame star represents not only a career achievement but also recognition of their resilience. Through tragedy, lineup changes, and the evolving music landscape, the band has continued to thrive, selling out arenas and headlining major festivals.
As Los Angeles prepares to honor Def Leppard, the ceremony stands as a testament to their legacy—a band that turned raw passion and relentless drive into global rock immortality.
