Netflix hasn’t announced a 2025 documentary on Ozzy Osbourne—instead, Paramount+ is preparing “Ozzy Osbourne: No Escape From Now”, a feature-length film slated for release later this year.Directed by BAFTA-winner Tania Alexander and produced by Echo Velvet alongside the Osbourne family and MTV Entertainment Studios, the documentary promises an intimate and unfiltered look at the rock legend’s life since his serious fall in 2019 .

The film delves into Ozzy’s ongoing health crises, including his battle with Parkinson’s disease, which has left him unable to walk and facing painful setbacks.Despite these challenges, the documentary underscores how music has been his lifeline. As Ozzy himself reflects: “making music and making two albums saved me. I’d have gone nuts without music”

Filming began in early 2022 during sessions for his 13th solo album, Patient Number 9—a work that garnered critical acclaim and two Grammy Awards. The story continues into the summer of 2025, centering around a poignant comeback: what could be Ozzy’s final performance with Black Sabbath at Birmingham’s Villa Park on July 5.

The documentary includes heartfelt appearances from his wife Sharon Osbourne—who describes the film as “an honest account” of his struggles—and their children. Fans and fellow musicians, including Black Sabbath’s Tony Iommi, Guns N’ Roses’ Duff McKagan, Metallica’s Robert Trujillo, Billy Idol, Tool’s Maynard James Keenan, Red Hot Chili Peppers’ Chad Smith, Zakk Wylde, Andrew Watt, and Billy Morrison, also contribute reflections .

Paramount+ emphasizes its long-standing relationship with Ozzy—tracing back to MTV’s Headbanger’s Ball, Ozzfest, and The Osbournes—making this documentary a natural extension of that legacy . With raw honesty, emotional depth, and historical context, No Escape From Now offers a compelling portrayal of a living rock icon confronting mortality, holding onto creativity, and preparing to say goodbye—perhaps in final performance form.

While Netflix hasn’t released this documentary, it remains a key 2025 highlight for streaming audiences, offering a stark depiction of resilience and artistry in the face of physical decline.
