MXRevival BRC YZ500 Project Final Update: 2-Stroke Tuesday

After months of blood, sweat, and two-stroke dreams, the MXRevival BRC YZ500 project has reached the finish line—and it absolutely rips. This one-of-a-kind beast started life as a Yamaha YZ250 chassis, but thanks to the magic of BRC Racing’s 500cc engine and MXRevival’s meticulous craftsmanship, it’s become something far more than the sum of its parts.

From the beginning, this build was all about pushing the boundaries of what a modern two-stroke can be. The BRC 500cc engine fits seamlessly into the YZ frame, delivering raw power that feels both terrifying and thrilling. Tuned for responsiveness and high-end torque, the YZ500 is built to tear through open tracks and deep sand with ease.

Aesthetically, the bike is just as jaw-dropping. With a full custom graphics kit, carbon fiber accents, and hand-picked components like a Cone Valve suspension setup and oversized Brembo brakes, every inch of this machine screams performance and precision. No detail was overlooked—from the titanium bolts to the polished aluminum swingarm.

Testing revealed a powerband that’s surprisingly manageable, despite the displacement. The suspension and chassis tuning keep it planted, giving riders the confidence to twist the throttle harder each lap. It’s aggressive, but not uncontrollable—a rare balance in the world of 500cc two-strokes.

The BRC YZ500 project isn’t just a showpiece—it’s a statement. It proves the two-stroke legacy is alive and well, with modern upgrades breathing new life into these legendary machines. Hats off to MXRevival for delivering a build that honors the past while charging headfirst into the future of moto.
