Marc Marquez looked towards football when attempting to explain the dynamic at the factory Ducati MotoGP team before his move for the 2025 season. Referencing Real Madrid forward Kylian Mbappe, Marquez said he will have plenty to prove when he joins up with main man Francesco ‘Pecco’ Bagnaia, who he likened to Vinicius Junior in the Real Madrid analogy.
MotoGP star Marc Marquez compared his situation to that of Kylian Mbappe at Real Madrid after joining the factory Ducati team ahead of 2025.
Six-time champion Marquez will join up with Francesco Bagnaia, champion in 2022 and 2023 and firmly established as Ducati’s main man.
And Marquez made reference to Mbappe’s summer switch to the reigning Liga and UEFA Champions League champions when discussing the pressure of arriving at a new team.
