Kelly Osbourne Shares Emotional Tribute Following Death of Father Ozzy Osbourne
Kelly Osbourne is mourning the loss of her father, legendary rocker Ozzy Osbourne, who died on July 22 at the age of 76. In a heartfelt message shared to her Instagram Stories on Monday, the 40-year-old TV personality opened up about the overwhelming grief she is experiencing in the wake of his passing.
“I’ve sat down to write this a hundred times and still don’t know if the words will ever feel like enough… but from the bottom of my heart, thank you,” she began. “The love, support, and beautiful messages I’ve received from so many of you have truly helped carry me through the hardest moment of my life.”
Kelly acknowledged the deep connection fans shared with the Black Sabbath frontman and said that their compassion has been a source of strength during a profoundly difficult time. “Every kind word, every shared memory, every bit of compassion has meant more than I can ever explain,” she wrote.
Reflecting on the nature of grief, she added, “It sneaks up on you in waves — I will not be ok for a while — but knowing my family are not alone in our pain makes a difference. I’m holding on tight to the love, the light, and the legacy left behind.”
Ozzy Osbourne’s death came just weeks after he made his final stage appearance at the “Back to the Beginning” benefit concert in Birmingham, his hometown. Known as the Prince of Darkness, Ozzy was a pioneer of heavy metal and an enduring icon in rock music. He leaves behind his wife Sharon, children Aimee, Kelly, and Jack, and millions of devoted fans around the world.
