**JUDAS PRIEST Launches ‘Shield Of Pain’ Tour Celebrating 35th Anniversary Of ‘Painkiller’ Album**

Heavy metal legends **Judas Priest** have announced their latest global trek — the *”Shield of Pain”* tour — in honor of the 35th anniversary of their landmark 1990 album *Painkiller*. The tour, set to kick off this fall, promises a blistering celebration of one of the most influential records in metal history.

*Painkiller* marked a defining moment for the band, introducing drummer Scott Travis and delivering high-octane anthems like “Painkiller,” “Night Crawler,” and “A Touch of Evil.” The album revitalized Priest’s sound, blending speed metal ferocity with Rob Halford’s iconic, soaring vocals. Now, 35 years later, the band is ready to reignite that fire with a show that promises to be both a nostalgic tribute and a fresh, thunderous spectacle.

The *Shield of Pain* tour will feature a setlist heavily focused on *Painkiller*, played in its entirety for the first time in many cities, alongside other fan favorites from Judas Priest’s extensive catalog. Known for their electrifying stage presence, the band is also teasing new stage production, including updated visuals and pyrotechnics designed to match the album’s apocalyptic energy.

Rob Halford shared in a statement, “*Painkiller* was a turning point for us — aggressive, powerful, pure metal. This tour is for the fans who’ve stood by us for decades, and for those discovering the might of *Painkiller* for the first time.”

Joining Judas Priest on select dates will be special guests from the metal world, with full support lineups to be announced soon. Tickets go on sale this Friday via the band’s official website and major ticket platforms.
