Christian Horner has joked that he was expecting Max Verstappen to ‘go missing’ after wrapping up his fourth straight Drivers’ Championship title in Las Vegas.
The Dutchman secured the honours yet again by finishing ahead of Lando Norris despite not getting on the podium in Sin City. George Russell took the chequered flag, with Lewis Hamilton and Carlos Sainz rounding out the top three.

“Winning a title in Vegas is a good and a bad thing,” said the Red Bull team principal. “I half expected him to go missing like a certain movie, but he turned up here in Qatar in time.
“He rightly celebrated with some of the guys and girls from the team. The rest of us were on flights back to Europe or straight here. We’re saving it to celebrate with everybody at the end of the year
