Former Kentucky Wildcats quarterback Beau Allen has officially announced his return to Lexington for the 2025 football season. A Lexington native and graduate of Lexington Catholic High School, Allen originally joined Kentucky in 2020 but transferred to Tarleton State after limited playing time. At Tarleton State, he threw for 2,836 yards and 23 touchdowns, earning WAC Newcomer of the Year honors. He then transferred to Georgia Southern but was ruled ineligible due to NCAA transfer rules.

Now, as a graduate transfer, Allen is returning to Kentucky to compete for the starting quarterback position. Head coach Mark Stoops has assured him a chance to compete in spring practice, despite the addition of Georgia transfer Brock Vandagriff. Allen is eager to rejoin the Wildcats, citing familiarity with the offense and the opportunity to play in front of family and friends in his hometown.

With his previous experience and renewed determination, Allen aims to contribute significantly to Kentucky’s quarterback depth and help lead the team in the upcoming season.
