Ed Sheeran Announces 2026 World Tour — Dates and Cities Revealed

Global superstar Ed Sheeran has officially announced his highly anticipated 2026 World Tour, titled The Loop Tour, marking his return to stadium stages around the world. The tour will coincide with the release of his forthcoming album Play, scheduled for September 2025, and promises an innovative live experience blending Sheeran’s signature loop-pedal artistry with cutting-edge stage production.

The tour kicks off in New Zealand on January 16, 2026, at Auckland’s Eden Park, before heading to Wellington and Christchurch. From there, Sheeran will travel across Australia, performing in Perth (January 31), Sydney (February 13–14), Brisbane (February 20–21), Melbourne (February 26–27), and Adelaide (March 5). These initial shows are part of the Oceania leg, with additional dates in Europe, North America, Asia, and Latin America expected to be announced soon.

Speaking about the upcoming tour, Sheeran said fans can expect “a brand-new stage, new tricks, new setup, and a mix of new songs and classics.” The Grammy winner hinted that the show will reimagine his signature solo setup with expanded looping technology, describing it as “a loop pedal on steroids.”

The Loop Tour follows Sheeran’s record-breaking +–=÷× Tour, which became one of the highest-grossing concert tours of all time. With Play introducing a fresh sound and creative direction, fans are eager to see how Sheeran evolves his live performances for 2026.

Tickets for the Australia and New Zealand shows go on sale beginning July 29, 2025, with presales opening earlier for select fan groups. Given Sheeran’s history of sold-out stadiums, tickets are expected to move quickly. Fans are encouraged to stay tuned as more global cities and dates are revealed in the coming months.
