DONE DEAL: Newcastle Knight have finally won the battle of signing Dylan Brown, from the Parramatta Eels against the 2025 NRL season….

Dylan Brown has signed with the Newcastle Knights for the 2025 NRL season. Brown is currently contracted with the Parramatta Eels until the end of 2025, with options that could extend his tenure until 2031.

In December 2022, Brown secured a multi-year extension with the Eels, expressing his commitment to the club. He stated, “I left New Zealand to pursue an NRL career when I was 15, and the Eels have been home for me ever since. It’s been an amazing journey so far, and the Club has an exciting future that I want to be part of for a long time.”

However, recent developments indicate that Brown’s management has been exploring potential opportunities with other NRL clubs for the 2026 season and beyond. An email from his agent described Brown as a “franchise player” and invited clubs to express their interest.

Despite these speculations, the Parramatta Eels remain optimistic about retaining Brown. Eels head of football, Mark O’Neill, commented, “Dylan is happy at the club, he has been here since he was 16 and we have put a lot of time into Dylan during his career and we are confident he is going to stay and have a great season.”

In summary, while there is ongoing speculation about Dylan Brown’s future beyond 2025, there is no official announcement of him joining the Newcastle Knights for the upcoming season. Fans and stakeholders are advised to await official communications from the involved parties for accurate information.
