CONGRATS: Georgia early enrollee Juan Gaston becomes Georgia’s first 5-star OL signee since Class of 2021… See more

The University of Georgia has secured a significant addition to its 2025 recruiting class with the commitment of four-star offensive lineman Juan Gaston Jr. from Westlake High School in Atlanta. Standing at 6-foot-7 and weighing 345 pounds, Gaston is ranked as the nation’s No. 16 offensive tackle and the No. 164 overall prospect by the 247Sports Composite.

Gaston chose the Bulldogs over other finalists, including Oregon, Tennessee, and South Carolina. His decision was announced in a ceremony at Westlake High School, where he creatively revealed his choice by shedding shirts of each finalist before donning a Georgia cap. “My heart just led me to the right place,” Gaston said. “I felt like I would be great there. I had a great bond with the team, the players, and the coaches.

This commitment bolsters Georgia’s already impressive 2025 offensive line haul, which includes in-state prospects Cortez Smith from Parkview, Mason Short from Evans, and Dontrell Glover from Langston Hughes. Gaston is now the second-highest-ranked offensive lineman in Georgia’s 2025 class.

Westlake coach Morris Mitchell praised Gaston’s physical abilities, stating, “Juan’s ability to bend is top tier. I’ve never seen a kid that big be able to bend as well as he does. … He’s the total package. He hasn’t given up a sack in the last two years. He likes to down-block. He likes to pin guys down. He has all the tools, but he has to keep developing. He’s a gentle giant but he has to keep turning up the knob.”

Gaston’s commitment underscores Georgia’s continued success in attracting top-tier offensive line talent, particularly from within the state. His combination of size, agility, and skill positions him as a formidable addition to the Bulldogs’ future roster.
