Christopher Hill, a 35-year-old from Louisville, Kentucky, was sentenced to 188 months (over 15 years) in federal prison for distributing methamphetamine. His conviction followed a two-day jury trial in the Southern District of Indiana.

The case began on November 5, 2020, when Jeffersonville Police stopped Hill for a suspected traffic violation. During the arrest, two baggies containing approximately 101.6 grams of methamphetamine fell from his pocket. A subsequent search of his vehicle uncovered multiple cell phones, marijuana, and $5,000 in cash. Investigations revealed that Hill used Facebook messages to advertise and arrange drug transactions.

The FBI and Jeffersonville Police Department collaborated on the investigation. U.S. District Court Judge Chief Tanya Walton Pratt imposed the sentence, which also includes five years of supervised release following Hill’s prison term.

This case is part of Project Safe Neighborhoods, a nationwide initiative aimed at reducing violent crime and making neighborhoods safer.
