Chris Martin, lead singer of Coldplay, to officially name and launch our brand-new care home in Exeter, Martin House.

In a truly special moment for the charity, we were honoured to welcome **Chris Martin**, lead singer of **Coldplay**, to officially name and launch our brand-new care home in Exeter, **Martin House**. The new facility represents a major step forward in our mission to provide a safe, nurturing, and opportunity-rich environment for young adults with vision impairment and complex needs.

Chris spent time engaging directly with those at the heart of our work. He joined a lively **Q&A session** with young people supported by the charity, answering thoughtful questions about his career, music, and the importance of resilience and creativity. The exchange not only inspired the young audience but also reinforced the power of music as a source of connection and confidence.

One of the most memorable moments came when a **gifted pianist from the college**, who is currently studying classical music, performed a remarkable **Rachmaninoff/Coldplay mash-up** in his honour. Chris was visibly moved by the performance and, in a heartwarming gesture, joined in to perform a couple of Coldplay songs alongside the student. This spontaneous collaboration created an atmosphere of joy, unity, and celebration—one that will remain a cherished memory for all who attended.

Alongside the music, Chris also took the opportunity to learn more about the **charity’s vital work** and its **ambitious plans for the future**. By naming the home **Martin House**, his support has given an extra layer of visibility and encouragement to the project, ensuring that the voices of young people remain at the forefront of what we do.

Martin House will now provide a **supportive home for five young adults**, extending the reach of our care and opening new opportunities for them to grow, flourish, and thrive in a community that truly values them.
