Brian May has revealed that Queen are seriously considering a groundbreaking residency at the $2.3 billion Sphere in Las Vegas, hinting at what could be one of the most ambitious shows of their career. The legendary guitarist admitted in a new interview with *Rolling Stone* that he was deeply inspired after seeing the Eagles perform at the venue, which has become the talk of the live music world for its cutting-edge technology and immersive experience.

“I’m very keen on the Sphere,” May enthused. “It’s got my mind working. I sat there watching the Eagles, thinking, ‘We should do this. The stuff that we could bring to this would be stupendous.’ So, yeah, I would like to do it. We’re having conversations.”

The potential residency would mark Queen + Adam Lambert’s first live return since February 2024, when they wrapped up the Japanese leg of *The Rhapsody Tour*. At 78, May has been candid about the physical demands of touring, previously telling Planet Rock that constant travel is “getting harder and harder to do.” A residency, however, offers the perfect balance—allowing the band to deliver spectacular shows without the grueling pace of a world tour.

The Sphere, which opened in late 2023, is considered a game-changer in live entertainment. With its massive 16K wraparound LED screen, advanced acoustics, and immersive visuals, it offers artists the chance to reinvent the concert experience. For a band like Queen, known for their theatricality and genre-defying catalog, the venue could provide the ultimate stage to push boundaries even further.

Fans are already buzzing at the prospect of hearing classics like “Bohemian Rhapsody,” “Somebody to Love,” and “We Will Rock You” enhanced by the Sphere’s revolutionary production. While no dates have been confirmed, May’s comments suggest that the talks are more than speculative—and that Queen could be gearing up for a truly “stupendous” new chapter in Las Vegas.
