Ole Miss head football coach Lane Kiffin has secured a significant contract extension, reinforcing the university’s commitment to his leadership through the 2030 season. This extension was automatically triggered following the Rebels’ decisive 63-31 victory over the Arkansas Razorbacks on November 2, 2024, marking their seventh win of the season.
Kiffin’s contract, initially extended in December 2022, included a unique clause granting an automatic one-year extension for each season in which the team achieves at least seven wins. This performance-based incentive underscores the university’s confidence in Kiffin’s ability to maintain a competitive program.
Under the terms of the extension, Kiffin’s annual salary is set at $9 million, with $7.2 million guaranteed. This compensation positions him among the highest-paid coaches in college football, reflecting his value to the Ole Miss football program.
