BREAKING: Former ole miss forward kharyssa Richardson finally returned to ole miss…

Kharyssa Richardson, a 6-foot-2 forward, has concluded her tenure with the Ole Miss Rebels women’s basketball team and is transferring to Mississippi State University for her final year of eligibility.

Richardson began her collegiate career at Auburn University, where during the 2022-2023 season, she averaged 7.2 points and 4.7 rebounds per game, starting in 27 of 28 appearances.
She then transferred to Ole Miss for the 2023-2024 season, where she played in 54 games over two seasons with seven starts. In her sophomore year, Richardson averaged 3.7 points and 1.5 rebounds per game, with her minutes per game decreasing from 15 to 10.

At Mississippi State, Richardson joins a team undergoing significant changes, including the departure of starting center Madina Okot, who entered the transfer portal earlier this week.  Richardson’s experience in the Southeastern Conference and her versatile forward play are expected to contribute positively to the Bulldogs’ lineup in the upcoming season.
