**Tony Iommi Pays Emotional Tribute to Ozzy Osbourne: “We’ve Lost Our Brother”**
Following the devastating news of Ozzy Osbourne’s death at the age of 76, tributes have poured in from around the world, but none more heartfelt than that of his longtime friend and Black Sabbath bandmate, Tony Iommi.
“I just can’t believe it!” Iommi said in an emotional statement. “My dear, dear friend Ozzy has passed away, only weeks after our show at Villa Park. It feels surreal, like a nightmare I can’t wake up from.”
Ozzy and Tony’s relationship spanned more than five decades, beginning in the late 1960s when they formed Black Sabbath in Birmingham, England, alongside bassist Geezer Butler and drummer Bill Ward. Together, they created a sound that would define heavy metal and change the face of rock music forever.
“It’s just such heartbreaking news that I can’t really find the words,” Tony continued. “There won’t ever be another like him. Ozzy had a presence, a voice, and a soul that could never be replicated. He was wild, unpredictable, kind, hilarious, and endlessly creative. He was truly one of a kind.”
Reflecting on their time together, Iommi added, “We had our ups and downs, like all brothers do, but the bond we shared was something unbreakable. We made music that changed our lives, and touched millions more. Geezer, Bill, and I have lost our brother—not just in music, but in life.”
As the music world mourns one of its most influential figures, Tony Iommi’s words reflect the deep personal loss felt by those closest to Ozzy.
“Rest in peace, my friend. The stage will never be the same without you. But your voice, your laughter, and your spirit will echo forever in o
ur hearts.”
