When Jack Black paid tribute to Ozzy Osbourne, he didn’t just sing “Mr. Crowley”—he became the storm. Backed by a powerhouse group of young musicians, Jack launched into the classic with all the theatrical energy and rock-and-roll rebellion that’s defined his career since School of Rock. But this wasn’t parody. It was passion. Every howl, every headbang, every dramatic flourish came from a place of deep respect and love for the Prince of Darkness. Clad in full Jack Black intensity, he delivered Ozzy’s eerie vocals with an authenticity that surprised even longtime fans. And the band? Tight, electrifying, and fearless. Together, they recreated the wild, spooky magic of the original—only this time, it came with Jack’s signature mix of chaos and charisma. The performance wasn’t just a cover. It was a celebration of rock’s power to transcend generations. Black reminded us why these songs endure—and why Ozzy’s shadow still looms large over the genre

She was only 8 years old. The only daughter of a college football coach — now confirmed dead at the Mystic Fire after the Texas floods. Elton John broke the silence with his music. She was only 8 years old — the light of her father’s life. Oh, the only daughter of a respected college football coach. Her laughter used to echo through the locker room, across the practice field where she ran in her tiny shoes after practice. But now, there was only silence. Elton John, musical icon and humanitarian, heard the story. Quietly, without cameras, without the press, he responded. Not with speeches — because no words would suffice — but with music, the way he has always spoken to the world’s heart. Elton didn’t seek recognition. He didn’t need thanks. He offered what he’s always given best: his music, his soul, and his quiet presence in another father’s darkest hour.

Paul McCartney and David Gilmour have been friends since the 1970s. Paul loved Pink Floyd. The psychedelic rock band released Dark Side of the Moon in 1973, the same year Paul and Wings released Band on the Run. However, they didn’t get to work together until the late 1970s. Gilmour appeared on a couple of Paul and Wings’ last songs on their final album, Back to the Egg. The album’s first track, “Reception,” has a “Pink Floyd-esque” intro. Gilmour contributed electric guitar on “Rockestra Theme” and “So Glad To See You Here.” Later, Pauled asked Gilmour for more great guitar work for his Give My Regards to Broad Street track “No More Lonely Nights.” In his book The Lyrics: 1956 to the Present, Paul wrote that he asked Gilmour to play on the tune because he thought the guitarist would be a great fit. Paul had seen Gilmour around after the guitarist finished his solo album, About Face. Gilmour played the tune’s guitar solo. “It sounded like his kind of thing… Dave is a genius of sorts, so I was pulling out all the stops,” Paul wrote. Paul loved what Gilmour did, especially on the album version, which is longer. He went “to town” on it because he had more space to play. Later, Gilmour lent his talents again to Paul’s “We Got Married” from the former Beatle’s Flowers in the Dirt record.

Paul McCartney and David Gilmour have shared a quiet but enduring musical friendship that stretches back to the 1970s. Though Paul had long admired Pink Floyd’s groundbreaking work—especially their 1973 masterpiece *The Dark Side of the Moon*, released the same year Paul and Wings unveiled *Band on the Run*—the two didn’t collaborate until later in…
