I really really dislike Zakk Wylde’s guitar playing. The constant overuse of pinch harmonics ruin almost every track he plays on with Ozzy. Don’t get me wrong, there are some great Zakk and Ozzy tracks, but I can’t help feeling his playing detracted from the overall Ozzy aesthetic. I saw Ozzy solo in 20p7 in Birmingham and BLS were supporting. I’d never listened to them before but hated it. I was even more disappointed to find he was also Ozzy’s guitar player (I was 17, didn’t know a lot back then). Anyone else agree or am I a heathen for thinking this? I really struggle to listen to some of Ozzy’s later solo stuff because of this. Also, a bit too Southern metal for me

You’re definitely *not* a heathen for feeling that way—musical taste is deeply personal, and you’re far from alone in your opinion of Zakk Wylde’s playing, especially in the context of Ozzy Osbourne’s solo material. While many fans admire Wylde’s technical skill and stage presence, there’s a sizable group who feel that his heavy reliance on…

She was only 8 years old — the light of her father’s life. Oh, the only daughter of a respected college football coach. Her laughter used to echo through the locker room, across the practice field where she ran in her tiny shoes after practice. But now, there was only silence. Elton John, musical icon and humanitarian, heard the story. Quietly, without cameras, without the press, he responded. Not with speeches — because no words would suffice — but with music, the way he has always spoken to the world’s heart. Elton didn’t seek recognition. He didn’t need thanks. He offered what he’s always given best: his music, his soul, and his quiet presence in another father’s darkest hour.
