Lenny Kravitz has officially announced the release of his highly anticipated 12th studio album, Blue Electric Light, scheduled for May 24, 2024. This marks his first full-length musical offering in five years, following the release of Raise Vibration in 2018. The album was recorded in Kravitz’s personal studio in the Bahamas, where he wrote and performed most of the instruments himself, with longtime collaborator Craig Ross contributing. The project is described as a passionate suite of songs that emphasizes Kravitz’s mastery of deep-soul rock ‘n’ roll .
The lead single, “TK421,” was released on October 13, 2023, followed by the second single, “Human,” on March 15, 2024. “Human” carries a message of unity and spiritual journey, resonating with Kravitz’s belief in the shared human experience . Kravitz has described the album as the record he didn’t make in high school, reflecting a creative direction he had always wanted to explore before his debut album, Let Love Rule, was released. This project celebrates that time and offers fans a glimpse into the artist’s early musical aspirations .
