In a remarkable debut at the 2025 Daytona 500, JR Motorsports (JRM) secured a top-10 finish, intensifying Dale Earnhardt Jr.’s enthusiasm for future NASCAR Cup Series endeavors. The team’s No. 40 Chevrolet, driven by reigning Xfinity Series champion Justin Allgaier and sponsored by Chris Stapleton’s Traveller Whiskey, showcased JRM’s potential at the sport’s highest level.

 

Allgaier, 38, who boasts 25 Xfinity Series victories and 282 top-10 finishes, led JRM’s inaugural Cup Series attempt. Despite the challenges of entering as a non-chartered team, Allgaier successfully qualified for the Daytona 500, starting 19th on the grid. Demonstrating skill and resilience, he navigated through multiple late-race incidents to secure a ninth-place finish, marking a significant milestone for JRM.
