Coldplay “Light Up the Globe” — 2026 World Tour Officially Announced
Hot on the heels of their unprecedented Music of the Spheres run, Coldplay have just dropped major news: their next global trek, Light Up the Globe 2026, is now official. The band revealed a sweeping itinerary covering six continents, with stadium and arena shows poised to light up cities from Tokyo to Toronto, Cape Town to São Paulo.
According to early listings, the tour kicks off in Tokyo, Japan, in late March, then swings through East Asia before landing in Sydney, Australia, in April. From there, Coldplay will move into the South Pacific, with multiple Oceania dates, before heading to Southeast Asia and India in May. The summer leg targets Europe and the UK, with shows slated in London, Paris, Berlin, Amsterdam, Barcelona, and Stockholm, among others. As summer turns to fall, the tour moves across North America—visiting Los Angeles, Chicago, New York, Toronto, and Miami—before crossing to South America to perform in São Paulo, Buenos Aires, Bogotá, and Lima.
In November and December, Coldplay will bring the tour to Africa, with headline shows in Johannesburg, Nairobi, and Lagos, before wrapping up in Cape Town. A final run through the Middle East is expected, with concerts announced in Dubai and Riyadh.
The band says this tour will expand their signature immersive production, combining LED wristbands, drones, and eco-conscious stage design. Fans can expect a setlist spanning their full catalog—from early hits like Yellow to newer tracks from Moon Music and Music of the Spheres.
Ticket sales are set to open in phases, starting with a fan presale in mid-December 2025, then general public sales in January 2026. VIP packages, travel bundles, and sustainability pledges (including carbon offset options) will also be available.
