HUGE NEWS! Geddy Lee and Alex Lifeson Announce Rush’s 2026 Reunion Tour — The Fifty Something Tour

In an announcement that has electrified rock fans around the world, Geddy Lee and Alex Lifeson have officially confirmed that Rush will reunite for a monumental 2026 North American tour. Aptly titled “The Fifty Something Tour,” the run marks the band’s first tour in over a decade and will serve as a powerful celebration of Rush’s unparalleled musical legacy — and a heartfelt tribute to their late drummer and lyricist, Neil Peart.

The news comes eleven years after Rush concluded their R40 Live Tour in 2015, which many believed would be their final bow. Now, with Peart’s spirit ever-present, Lee and Lifeson are set to bring the band’s timeless music back to life on stage with renewed passion and purpose. The upcoming tour promises to honor both the band’s history and the devoted fans who have kept their music alive across generations.

Joining Lee and Lifeson on drums is acclaimed German musician Anika Nilles, whose extraordinary technical skill and expressive playing have earned her international recognition. With her addition, the new chapter of Rush aims to balance reverence for Peart’s legacy with the excitement of creative evolution.

In a joint statement, Geddy Lee shared, “This tour isn’t about replacing Neil — it’s about celebrating him. Every note we play will carry his spirit.” Lifeson added, “We’ve always believed Rush’s music should live on, and now feels like the right time to reconnect with everyone who grew up with us.”

The Fifty Something Tour will feature a carefully curated setlist spanning the band’s storied career — from progressive rock epics like 2112 and Xanadu to fan favorites such as Tom Sawyer, Limelight, and The Spirit of Radio. Fans can also expect reimagined arrangements, new visual productions, and special tributes honoring Neil Peart’s genius as both a drummer and a poet.

Tickets are expected to sell out quickly when they go on sale later this fall, as Rush’s return marks one of the most anticipated rock events of the decade. The 2026 Fifty Something Tour isn’t just a reunion — it’s a celebration of friendship, creativity, and the enduring power of music that continues to inspire millions around the world.
