Last weekend in San Diego, I finally had the chance to meet Jesse Cole—the Yellow Tux Guy himself, the visionary founder of the Savannah Bananas. It was a moment years in the making. My first connection with Jesse dates back to 2018, when I reached out to him after realizing we shared something unusual in common: a love for wearing yellow suits. For me, yellow has been more than just a fashion choice; since 2015, I’ve worn yellow every single day, turning it into both a personal brand and a lifestyle. Over the years, it has earned me nicknames like “The Yellow Man” and “Mr. Sunshine.”

When I reached out to Jesse years ago, he warmly invited me to experience a Bananas game. Unfortunately, life and distance kept me from making the trip to Savannah, but the idea of two “yellow brothers” meeting always lingered in the back of my mind. Seeing Jesse grow the Bananas from a quirky baseball team into a national phenomenon—one that blends sport, theater, and pure joy—has been incredibly inspiring. His philosophy of creating unforgettable fan experiences, of making baseball fun again, is a reminder of what can happen when passion meets bold creativity.

Meeting him in San Diego was surreal. Dressed in our signature yellows, we finally stood side by side—two people who, in our own ways, use the power of color and energy to bring smiles to others. We shared stories, laughter, and the mutual recognition of how something as simple as choosing to wear yellow daily can become a powerful symbol of optimism, identity, and connection.
