Two-time Pro Motocross champion Ken Roczen is set to make a surprise appearance at the penultimate round of the 2025 AMA Pro Motocross Championship, returning to the gate at the iconic Unadilla National. This marks Roczen’s first outdoor national since 2022 and his first competitive outing since the Pittsburgh round of the 2025 Monster Energy Supercross series in April, where he stepped away mid-season due to health and schedule management.

The 31-year-old German rider, widely regarded as one of the most naturally talented racers of his generation, has remained a fan favorite throughout his career, known for his fluid style, resilience, and remarkable comebacks. While Roczen has primarily focused on Supercross and select international events in recent years—including the World Supercross Championship and Red Bull Straight Rhythm—his decision to race at Unadilla has sent a wave of excitement through the motocross community.

Though not in title contention, Roczen’s presence at Unadilla adds a major storyline to the late stages of the 2025 championship. Unadilla’s rough, fast, and uniquely European-style track layout could suit the veteran rider’s strengths, especially if conditions turn technical. His entry also brings added intrigue to the ongoing title battle between series front-runners Jett Lawrence and Chase Sexton, who may now have to contend with an unexpected spoiler.

While Roczen has yet to confirm whether this will be a one-off appearance or a hint at a full-time return to Pro Motocross, fans and industry insiders alike will be closely watching his performance. Whether he’s there to test, enjoy the moment, or shake things up, Roczen’s return ensures Unadilla will be one of the most anticipated rounds of the season.
