Bad News for Triumph and Jalek Swoll: Rider Out for Full 2025 Season
Triumph Factory Racing has been dealt a serious blow: their rising star, **Jalek Swoll**, will miss the entire 2025 Monster Energy AMA Supercross season. In early January, just days before the Supercross kickoff, Swoll suffered a devastating Achilles tendon injury—one that abruptly ended his campaign before it even began
This setback comes on the heels of a strong debut season with Triumph in 2024, where Swoll delivered solid results: sixth at the 250SX East opener in Detroit, seventh overall in the 250SX East standings, and even clinching Triumph’s first U.S. podium with a third overall at the Unadilla National
Triumph has had to reshuffle its Supercross roster in response. Austin Forkner pivoted from the West to the East Region, while Stilez Robertson—returning from wrist surgery layoffs—made his Triumph debut alongside Jordon Smith on the West Coast.
Despite the blow, Triumph and Swoll have committed to each other long-term. In March 2025, the team announced a contract extension that runs through the end of the 2026 SuperMotocross World Championship season. The team stressed they want Swoll to recover fully and return only when he’s 100%—hoping he’ll be back for the second half of the upcoming
This represents a major speed bump—perhaps the biggest challenge yet—for both rider and team. Swoll’s injury not only spares no mercy but also forces Triumph to rely on other talent while awaiting his return. Yet, the upside is that he now has time to bounce back stronger and rejoin the fray when the outdoor series resumes.
