**Ozzy Osbourne’s Final Journey Through Birmingham – Public Invited to Pay Tribute**

Fans of rock legend Ozzy Osbourne will have the chance to say a final goodbye as his funeral cortege makes its way through the streets of his beloved hometown of Birmingham on Wednesday, 30 July.

The public procession will begin at 1pm along Broad Street, pausing at the iconic Black Sabbath Bridge and bench—now a place of mourning where thousands have left flowers, messages, and memorabilia. This poignant stop will serve as a symbolic farewell to the city that shaped one of heavy metal’s most influential voices.

In a fitting tribute to the Prince of Darkness, local brass band Bostin’ Brass will perform live as the cortege travels through the city centre, bringing together fans, friends, and music lovers to honour Ozzy’s legacy. Stewards will be on hand to assist visitors, and members of the public are encouraged to arrive early and use public transport, as road closures will be in effect.

Broad Street will be closed to traffic from 7am, with diversions and crowd control measures in place to ensure safety throughout the day. Fans attending are asked to respect the solemnity of the occasion and follow guidance from event staff.

The event has been organised with full support from the Osbourne family, who are covering all costs as a gesture of thanks to the city and fans who supported Ozzy throughout his remarkable career. Following the procession, a private family funeral will be held.

This will be a moment of collective remembrance, not only for Ozzy’s unmatched contributions to music but also for the deep connection he maintained with Birmingham throughout his life. All are welcome to gather for this final journey of a true hometown hero.
