OFFICIAL: Ole Miss Legend Eli Manning Returns to Alma Mater as Senior Football Advisor

In a move that has thrilled Rebel fans across the country, Ole Miss legend Eli Manning is officially returning to Oxford as the university’s new Senior Football Advisor. The announcement was made earlier today by the Ole Miss Athletics Department, marking a homecoming for one of the most iconic figures in school history.

Manning, who starred at quarterback for the Rebels from 2000 to 2003, holds a special place in Ole Miss lore. During his collegiate career, he threw for over 10,000 yards, earned SEC Player of the Year honors, and led the team to a Cotton Bowl victory in his senior season. His jersey, No. 10, was retired by the university in 2020.

As Senior Football Advisor, Manning will work closely with Head Coach Lane Kiffin and the football staff, offering strategic insight, mentoring players, and serving as an ambassador for the program. His return is expected to boost recruiting, energize alumni, and further strengthen the university’s national football brand.

“I’m honored to be back at Ole Miss in a role that allows me to contribute to a program that means so much to me,” said Manning. “This university helped shape who I am, and I’m excited to help support the next generation of Rebels.”

Ole Miss Athletics Director Keith Carter praised the move as a game-changer. “Eli’s presence on campus will be invaluable. He brings not only football knowledge and leadership, but a deep passion for Ole Miss.”

After a 16-year NFL career with the New York Giants that included two Super Bowl titles, Manning now returns to where his legacy began—with a mission to help guide Ole Miss Football to even greater heights.
