The Brisbane Broncos have bolstered their NRLW squad with the signing of former St George Illawarra Dragons forward Tara McGrath-West on a two-year deal. The powerhouse prop will bring strength and depth to the Broncos’ forward pack as they look to reclaim their dominance in the NRLW competition.
McGrath-West, who made her NRLW debut with the Dragons, has quickly established herself as a rising talent in the game. Known for her strong carries, aggressive defence, and high work rate, she will be a valuable addition to the Broncos’ forward rotation.
Broncos NRLW head coach Scott Prince expressed his excitement about the signing, highlighting McGrath-West’s potential and the impact she can have on the squad.
“Tara is a tough competitor with a great work ethic, and we’re thrilled to have her join the Broncos family,” Prince said. “She’s still developing as a player, but she has already shown she can compete at the highest level. We believe she’ll be an important part of our team moving forward.”
McGrath-West joins a Broncos side determined to return to premiership contention after a few challenging seasons. With a history of success in the NRLW, the club is focused on rebuilding its squad with talented and hardworking players.
The 23-year-old forward said she was excited for the opportunity to wear the Broncos jersey and contribute to the team’s future success.
“I’m really grateful for this opportunity and can’t wait to get started with the girls,” McGrath-West said. “The Broncos have such a strong history in the NRLW, and I’m looking forward to being part of that legacy.”
