In the 2025 Indianapolis Supercross held on March 8, 2025, at Lucas Oil Stadium, the 250SX East/West Showdown featured top riders from both coasts competing in a thrilling main event. Haiden Deegan, the reigning 250cc champion, showcased his prowess by securing a third-place finish.

The main event saw Kawasaki’s Seth Hammaker clinch victory, completing the 19-lap race in 16 minutes and 36.683 seconds. French rider Tom Vialle, piloting a KTM, finished closely behind in second place, 5.766 seconds adrift. Deegan, representing Yamaha, crossed the line in third, 13.398 seconds behind Hammaker. Rounding out the top five were RJ Hampshire (Husqvarna) and Cole Davies (Yamaha), who finished 17.883 and 21.601 seconds behind the leader, respectively.

In the heat races leading up to the main event, Deegan dominated Heat 1 by grabbing the holeshot and building a substantial lead, finishing nearly five seconds ahead of the competition. Coty Schock delivered a strong performance in Heat 1, securing his spot in the main event.

The Indianapolis round was significant for the championship standings. Deegan’s consistent performance allowed him to extend his lead in the 250SX West standings. Conversely, Julien Beaumer’s challenges during the race resulted in a drop in the overall standings, impacting his championship aspirations.

Overall, the Indianapolis Supercross highlighted the competitive spirit of the 250SX class, with Deegan maintaining his championship lead despite not securing the win. The event underscored the depth of talent in the field, setting the stage for an exciting remainder of the season.
