Contrary to recent reports, Hailey Van Lith, a prominent figure in women’s basketball, did not sign a four-year contract extension with LSU. Instead, after a single season with the Tigers, she transferred to Texas Christian University (TCU) in April 2024.
Van Lith’s decision to leave Louisville for LSU in April 2023 surprised many. She cited a desire for a change and the opportunity to play under Coach Kim Mulkey as primary reasons for the transfer. However, after one season, she entered the transfer portal again, ultimately choosing TCU for the 2024-25 season.
Throughout her collegiate career, Van Lith has demonstrated exceptional talent, earning accolades such as Washington Ms. Basketball and Gatorade Player of the Year in high school. Her time at Louisville was marked by impressive performances, including a junior season where she averaged 19.7 points per game. At LSU, she contributed significantly, averaging 12.3 points, 3.7 assists, 2.4 rebounds, and 1.3 steals per game.
As Van Lith embarks on her journey with TCU, fans and analysts alike anticipate her continued growth and success in the upcoming season.
