Tom Jenkins, a promising winger who began his NRL career with the Penrith Panthers in 2022, is reportedly considering a return to the club for the 2025 season. After debuting with the Panthers and scoring five tries in six appearances, Jenkins signed a two-year contract with the Newcastle Knights ahead of the 2024 season. However, his tenure with the Knights was short-lived, as he managed only five games before being granted an early release.

Following his departure from Newcastle, reports suggest that Jenkins may rejoin the Panthers’ system by initially playing for their junior affiliate, the St Mary’s Saints, in the Ron Massey Cup. This pathway could provide him an opportunity to work his way back into Penrith’s NRL squad.

The potential return of Jenkins comes as the Panthers look to fill the void left by winger Sunia Turuva, who has signed with the Wests Tigers for the 2025 season. Jenkins’ familiarity with the Panthers’ system and his previous performances make him a viable candidate to bolster their backline depth.

As of now, official confirmation of Jenkins’ return to the Panthers is pending. Fans and analysts will be keen to see how this development unfolds as the 2025 NRL season approaches.
