FEW MINUTES AGO: Garrett Wilson Praises Panthers’ Bryce Young With Two-Word Social Media Post…

New York Jets wide receiver Garrett Wilson recently expressed admiration for Carolina Panthers quarterback Bryce Young through a succinct social media interaction. Responding to a highlight reel of Young’s performances, Wilson commented, “He is,” signaling his recognition of Young’s talent.

Bryce Young, the first overall pick in the 2023 NFL Draft, faced challenges during his rookie season, finishing with a 2-14 record as a starter. In the 2024 season, after an early benching, Young returned in Week 8 and demonstrated significant improvement. Over 10 games, he accumulated over 2,200 passing yards, 15 passing touchdowns, five rushing touchdowns, and led the Panthers to a 4-6 record during that span. His standout performance came in Week 18 against the Atlanta Falcons, where he accounted for five touchdowns in a 44-38 overtime victory.

Wilson’s endorsement adds to the growing recognition of Young’s development. C.J. Stroud, quarterback for the Houston Texans and a former college rival, also praised Young, stating, “He’s been balling… he’s leading that team.”

Wilson, the 2022 NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year, has been a consistent performer for the Jets, achieving over 1,000 receiving yards in each of his first three seasons. His acknowledgment of Young’s progress reflects a mutual respect among emerging NFL talents.

The Panthers concluded the 2024 season with a 5-12 record, showing promise under Young’s leadership. Head coach Dave Canales affirmed his confidence in Young, stating, “Bryce is our quarterback. I’m so proud of the way he just took the challenge and just grew every week.” Team owner David Tepper echoed this sentiment, expressing, “I think we’ve got our QB here.”

As the NFL offseason approaches, both Wilson and Young are poised to continue their upward trajectories, with fans and analysts alike anticipating their future contributions to the league.
