Carlos Checa believes that next year’s season will be characterized by teammates and the two primary candidates for the MotoGP world championship, with Pecco Bagnaia and Marc Márquez participating in a championship of their own due to their superiority. But the former cyclist hopes to be “wrong.”
Jorge Martín is currently the champion, but his move to Aprilia has caused him to lose ground to the main title contenders, according to Checa, who stated in comments to DAZN, where he works as a commentator, that the factory Ducati duo’s speed means they will now be “isolated” in the fight.
Motosan quoted Checa as saying: I’m hoping I’m mistaken, but I think the championship will be split. However, at the moment, I think it will be between two riders because of the team’s and the bike’s dominance, and I think they are two of the most significant riders.
However, Checa anticipates that certain riders will perform well as outsiders, as is the case with Martín. In addition to him, he left an open-ended question: “We’ll see Aprilia, we’ll see KTM too with Pedro Acosta.”
More questions are raised about the Japanese teams: “If they can catch up, we’ll see Yamaha with Fabio Quartararo.” I find Honda to be a little more aloof, but that’s just the way things are.
